Dirt Cheep Music has been a family-owned music store at the corner of South Cobb Drive and Windy Hill Road since 1984. Customers can buy, sell and trade guitars, amplifiers, drums, keyboards, DJ equipment, and live sound, band, orchestra, design and installation equipment.
Ramona Music Center offers instruments, lessons, repairs, rentals, and more. Its friendly and knowledgeable staff is happy to help you tune your guitar, or help you find just the right music book. In addition to new instruments, it also offers used, consigned, and rentals. This is great for the beginner that wants to try something new without investing too much. Make sure to check the Web site for current specials, and upcoming events.
Not just a music store, Heriz Music and Art houses seven studios and offers lessons with 11 teachers. Owner Margarita Heriz taught music to high school students in Bogotá, Colombia, but soon learned she preferred working with instruments rather than in the classroom. Inevitably, she brought the classroom to her shop. Heriz's philosophy on music is to spark interest for aspiring musicians. She says the learning process does not necessarily begin with merely setting up lessons, but by looking, absorbing or just visiting and starting to get ideas. Aside from instruments such as clarinets, saxophones, flutes, pianos and customary guitars, Heriz Music and Art offers repairs as well.
With two locations, Keyboards & More offers instrument rentals, repairs and lessons. The other location is in Ranch Lake Plaza on State Route 70 East. Monthly rental on instruments can be applied toward purchase, and the store has certified technicians who make minor repairs while you wait. Brass instrument dipping and flushing is also available. Keyboards & More also has a large staff of teachers for lessons on piano, guitar, cello and much more, all at reasonable, affordable prices.
